Emptying of solidified powders with a drum Conditioner
The MRC Drum Conditioner offers a safe and reliable emptying of highly compacted or cured powders from raw material containers such as steel or plastic drums, hobbocks or fibre drums. The slight squeezing of the barrel wall in the drum conditioner leads to a breakage of the medium and thus allows the flowability to be restored for the further manufacturing process.
Function Drum Conditioner:
The drum lifter with conditioner uses a split stenter frame with two hydraulic actuators that exert a force of up to 5,000 N on the drum wall to break up even the hardest materials.

The system consists of three components:
- Conditioning frames: the stenter frames are actuated by two separate actuators and thus exert a force on the wall of the drum. The drum clamp can be exchanged for different geometries depending on the size of the drum and the customer’s application requirement
- Drum lifter: This feature places the container on a rotating platform to allow full contact along the wall of the drum
- Rotating drum platform with roller conveyor: the platform is built on a swivel bearing that allows the drum to rotate, allowing the stenter frames to push any point along the drum circumference

Drum Crusher
When raw materials stored in drums are so solidified and a retracted drum rim makes emptying impossible, the MBL Drum Crusher comes into play. Thanks to its four cylinders, it applies pressure to the solidified material in the barrel from all sides. The product breaks without damaging the barrel. For the particularly hard cases, a turntable for step-by-step pressing from all sides is integrated.
